Im Sp\u00e4therbst 2025 nahm die Biberfamilie, die ihr Revier in der N\u00e4he des Herrenhauses hat, einen riesigen Planungsschritt von Natur Hunziken vorweg: eine grossfl\u00e4chige Revitalisierung der Parzelle 624 ab Schwarzbach in \u00f6stlicher Richtung. Diese grosse Wirkung erzielten die &#8222;Baumeister mit Biss&#8220; mit nicht allzu grossem Aufwand: die Biberfamilie erweiterte ihren Damm beim Zusammenfluss zweier B\u00e4che seitlich um einige Meter und erh\u00f6hte ihn um ca. 50 bis 65 cm. Zus\u00e4tzlich grub sie Richtung S\u00fcden einen Kanal durch die B\u00f6schung in die offene Landschaft hinaus &#8211; und \u00fcberschwemmte diese grossfl\u00e4chig.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p id=\"block-78c6ae36-9ece-43d4-9065-745fce1b0b13\">Pikantes Detail: Natur Hunziken hatte im Fr\u00fchjahr 2025 in ersten Planskizzen einen zus\u00e4tzlichen Gew\u00e4sserlauf vorgesehen &#8211; der ca. zehn Meter neben dem jetzt von den Bibern ge\u00f6ffneten Gew\u00e4sserlauf erstellt worden w\u00e4re. Im Gegensatz zur Stiftung brauchten die Biber aber keine aufw\u00e4ndigen Gel\u00e4ndemodellierungen, wie sie die Naturschutzorganisation im Jahr 2026 mittels Drohnen in Angriff nehmen wollte. Natur Hunziken hat verschiedentlich Biber dabei beobachtet, wie sie das Gel\u00e4nde, einen Biberdamm oder eine Biberburg mit &#8222;Architekten-\/Ingenieur-Blick&#8220; scannen und erst dann zur Tat schreiten. Der Veloweg auf dem Stiftungsgel\u00e4nde wurde erheblich \u00fcberschwemmt.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/div><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/naturhunziken.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Timeline-1_01_06_00_06-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1070 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/naturhunziken.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Timeline-1_01_06_00_06-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/naturhunziken.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Timeline-1_01_06_00_06-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/naturhunziken.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Timeline-1_01_06_00_06-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/naturhunziken.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Timeline-1_01_06_00_06-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/naturhunziken.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Timeline-1_01_06_00_06-2048x1152.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n<!-- \/wp:media-text -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p id=\"block-40cac2ab-4c43-4bdb-9304-8ceea1e18e3c\"><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p id=\"block-774ffc54-3c1c-4455-b876-96d8f51170e9\">Von Ende 2024 bis September 2025 war es Lorenz Hirni, dem Leiter von Natur Hunziken, jeweils noch m\u00f6glich gewesen, mit von den zust\u00e4ndigen Jagdbeh\u00f6rden bewilligten, manuellen Eingriffen in einzelne Biberd\u00e4mme die \u00dcberschwemmungen des Herrenhauskellers und -gartens (wo jeweils die &#8222;B\u00fchne am Teich&#8220; stattfindet) und auch des Velowegs zu beseitigen.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p id=\"block-c473e5ce-5364-402f-a772-64be73144593\">Hirni tat dies in erster Linie im Interesse der Natur- und Biberf\u00f6rderung, in zweiter Linie aus Sorge um die Bausubstanz des Herrenhauses. Mit den neuen Biberaktivit\u00e4ten ab Oktober 2025 konnte er die \u00dcberschwemmung des Velowegs jedoch nicht mehr abwenden. Aus Sicht der Stiftung, die selbst kein Interesse am Veloweg hatte und hat (und die den Gemeinwesen auch eine Alternativroute \u00fcber das Stiftungsgel\u00e4nde in der Hunzigenau anbietet), ist es sicher richtig, wenn Gemeinde und Kanton den Veloweg langfristig weiter betreiben; ist es doch der sch\u00f6nste Schulweg der Region und bietet auch Rollstuhlfahrenden wunderbare Einblicke in eine vielf\u00e4ltige Natur.
